I grew up on farms and experienced farm animals from birth, but my husband grew up in the suburbs. He initially didn't want any animals, let alone "a menagerie," and it was a sticking point early in our relationship. But I knew how important and deeply satisfying both indoor and (traditionally) outdoor animals could be, and I was left to choose...I could be with a great guy, or I could live by myself with my dreamed-of menagerie. Deep down, though, something told me I could convince him, if given time and an appropriate introduction into beasties.

Luckily, I was right...He didn't know it at first, but it turns out my husband is an absolute sucker for adorable eyes, fuzzy snuggles, and cuteness (I'm referring to the animals, not to myself)! And now, somehow, here we are, enjoying both inside and outside lovebugs, in numbers which cause me to say, "Ok, that's enough!" Our dairy goat herd is a huge part of our life and we enjoy them immensely. There's a lot happening on our small farm, and we take a lot of photos. The pictures below are just a small sample of what makes farm life so worthwhile and fulfilling! We hope these moments bring a smile to your face and give you some of the joy they gave us!
